My freind Amber invited me to see Snoop Dog @ The palms on Wednesday night-Of course I said yes. I was surprised to find that the event was sponsored by a company called ScullCandy. I thought it was snowboard manufacturer, as you can see the crowd was very chilled, actually ScullCandy makes headphones. Not sure what the connection was to the "Snow Show". We had a blast drinking sparkling wine and Hornitos tequila before heading down to Rain Nightclub to see Snoop perform.

Folies Bergere is on its last legs.
Folies on its last legs after 49-year Strip run
In a knock-us-over-with-a-feather news break, a show closing for the ages has been announced today: The venerable Folies Bergere, a mainstay on the Strip since Dec. 24, 1959, is closing March 28. There is no announcement yet as to what will replace the city’s sequins-cancan-feathered boa spectacle at the hotel’s Tiffany Theater. Trop officials do have plans in the works for new, permanent production in the showroom and are in the latter stages of negotiations for that show.
At its peak, Folies entertained some 40,000 fans a month at the Trop and was for generations one of Vegas’ signature production shows.

My absolute favorite sushi in Las Vegas is at Tao Nightclub in the Venetian,"The Spicy Lobster Roll" It is full of fresh, sweet lobster meat, Green Shiso leaves, and garnished with Black Tobiko Caviar on top. $19.00 You will love it!
The runner up is the "Viva Las Vegas Roll" at Ra Sushi in front of the Fashion Show Mall. Believe me, this roll has a lot goin on and it all works. Dont be shy-You must take a big bite of all ingredients at once to experience this taste explosion. Made with Kani Kama and cream cheese rolled in rice and seaweed, lightly tempura battered and topped with spicy tuna, crab mix and sliced lotus root. Finished with eel sause and spinach tempura flakes.(pictuerd above) Like I said, it all works and its incredible! Only $11.75 and even better-1/2 off during happy hour daily from 4pm-7pm.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — The tiny town of Cranfills Gap really needed a vacation.
That's why Las Vegas tourism officials decided to fly nearly half the 350 residents to the desert playground for a five-day getaway and publicity stunt.
Up to 120 people — those who could get off work and were over 21 — were treated to swanky hotels,fancy dining at "Strip Steak" in Planet Hollywood and glitzy shows like "Phantom Of The Opera" when they arrived Dec. 13.
It's all free with a catch: They'll be followed around by video cameras for tourism commercials to air early next year.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is spending $2.5 million for the trip and marketing campaign. Officials looked at 125 small communities around the nation before settling on the farming and ranching town that has one gas station, one bank, a bar and grill, and few other businesses.
Cranfills Gap, with two stop signs and no traffic lights about 75 miles southwest of Fort Worth, is more than ready for the getaway. Synthetic Pictures Director Justin Corsbie is heading up a multi-million dollar campaign for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. "Vegas Bound" is the brain child of a collaboration between R&R Partners, Synthetic Pictures and the LVCVA.
Look for the documentary style commercials to air in the next couple of months.
