"Artists For Autism" @Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health-

Last nights "Artists For Autism" Event at The Lou Ruvo Brain Center to benefit The Autism Community Trusts was spectacular! Local artists created 100 unique designs on donated guitars that were auctioned off to very happy patrons. I am the proud winner of ALL 3 of the custom guitars pictured below. Another highlight was meeting Shannon Ruther, she explained how she worked on her cut glass and rhinestone design with her 2 kids Madison and Jaiden, I think they did an awesome job!

-Shannon Ruther: I have lived in Las Vegas for 35 years. My kids Madison Prescott (10) and Jaiden Prescott (8) both helped on this project to teach them to give back. I am known as the Shirt Girl for my handmade iconic rock tees. I am the creator of the lit cigarette technique where I take Swarovski crystals and put them on a shirt to make it pop by making the cigarette look lit as well as other non-traditional heat press techniques. I inspired an art gallery to open called Eclectica in Boulder City. From there I expanded into making functional fashion and art. I created a second and third division of HAS by Shannon called HAS Jewels which is vintage inspired jewelry, accessories, shirts and handbags and HAS Art, which is a collective shop of local artists, my kids and myself as well as upcycled furniture. I singlehandedly operate both shops from my loft in my home on Etsy.com. -Sol Noor: Even as a child, Sol enjoyed taking things apart and repurposing them into interesting and functional new objects. His guitar works as an MP3 player and has several colored lighting features that shift with the beat of the music. The components he used are parts from an old laser printer, a mini amplifier, spare motors and several LED lights. Currently Sol is a website designer and employee of the Charlie Palmer Group.

-Ana Robles: My art is inspired by Dia de los Muertos and my Mexican heritage, which is filled with vibrant colors and tradition. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have passed. Better known as All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day it’s a celebration of loved ones. My hope is that you enjoy my art and get inspired to create every day. Currently my art has been showcased at the world famous Venice Beach boardwalk, at Las Vegas' First Friday and at Fox and Hound Tattoo shop in the Stratosphere Casino.

Honerable Mention Goes To the lovely Jessica Galindo for her absolutly gorgeous Leather & Lace Design.
